In another panel, police chased away striking workers using tear gas. Signs were abandoned on the street and sidewalk. Each read "ILA" for the International Longshoreman's Association.

The sign was at the left end of the mural, in the past. It credited help, both painting and monetary. The mural was dedicated to, "Dave Pharr, Streetcar Mechanic & Preservationist."

Early San Francisco shown with its Key System streetcars and early models of automobiles. Perhaps in the early 1900's. The window was not a part of the historic scene.

The left panel showed police roughing up striking dock workers. The green panel showed a military parade down Market Street.

The next panel showed Market Street during the 1940's. Buses, cars, and trolleys occupied the entire street to the exclusion of pedestrians.

The next panel showed Market Street taken over by an early Pride Parade.

The next panel showed Market Street filled with cars in the 1980's.

The next panel showed Market Street filled with a peace parade. The parade was a protest against the wrongful invasion of Iraq.

The last panel shows one possible future view of Market Street. A river passed under it. Pedestrians and bicycle dominated the street. Historic and new style trolleys shared the rails. And two people rode ostriches's along the street.

A sun station used gigantic household plugs to charge electric cars.

One sidewalk on Market Street was full of people with bicycles. One homeless man pushed a shopping cart. The word "Rezist!" was graffitied to a store front. A commercial ad decorated a kiosk.

Part of a Pride parade. One motorcycle carried a rainbow flag. A trolley was decorated with rainbow balloons. Two signs honored Harvey Milk. One read, "Remember Harvey." The other showed a photograph of his face.

The mural drawn on a wall, at the corner of 15th Street and Church Street, showed Market Street in a sequence of vertical slices. The slice at the left end showed the past. The slice at the right end showed an imagined future. Other historic periods were presented in other vertical slices.

Many tracks of trolleys ran down old Market Street. They all turned around at the Ferry Building. Not visible here, other trolleys crossed using the lower level of the Bay Bridge.

The mural shown in context with the street and sidewalk. Church Street was to the right. 15th Street crossed at the corner ahead. This mural would be easy to miss while walking past it gazing at a phone in your hands.
