A huge playground had been constructed near the corner of 20th Street and Dolores Street. It had swings, multiple slides, a bridge, and monkey bars just to list a few.

Partly shaded grass hills stair stepped down from 20th Street.

The hills provided a view of downtown San Francisco. That view was hazy because of fires burning up north.

A station stop for the in-bound J-Church light-rail line was located at the southwest corner of the park.

Shade was available under palm trees too.

One of several signs posted that bordered the part of the park which was open to off leash dogs. That sign read,

Welcome in This Area

• Pick Up and Remove Dog Waste
• Carry a Leash for Each Dog
• Leash Aggressive Dogs
• Control Excessive Noise
• Keep Dogs out of Plant Beds
• Keep your Dog's Vaccination and License Current

The west center of the park featured a covered bridge over the light-rail tracks. A statue of Miguel Hidalgo by artist Juan Fernando Olaguíbel rose high over the park.

The view down the center of the park with its classic bell and 19th Street beyond that.

The screened bridge over the J-Church light-rail line. Passing over this bridge allows one to continue up 19th Street.

Overview of the large off-leash dog area. This part of the park used to be a dirt baseball diamond .

Large restrooms were available at the northwest end of the park.

Two fenced areas enclosed three tennis courts each, for a total of six tennis courts.

A single basketball court was occupied by a single basketball player.

A view of the park as it bordered 18th Street.
