In one area, a sliver of sunlight slipped through between trees to illuminate one tree next to the railroad tracks.

Occasionally the train would pass over a hill with the forest falling below it. In one patch, the sky could be seen through the trees.

Many of the trees next to the railroad tracks were beginning to change color for autumn. These trees turned a lovely golden color.
