A Starbucks cafe occupied the third floor of the Salesforce Tower. To the right and inside was an elevator down.

In one area of the garden low round tables were available, some with chairs.

Metal screens covered the walls to either side of the elevators. Eventually they will become lush with greenery.

Art was visible on the roof of a low warehouse next to the Salesforce Transbay Center. The art was colorful and resembled some sort of animal.

A trio of cans lined the path. A black one for deposit of landfill trash. A blue one for receipt of recyclables. And a green one for deposit of food waste to become composted.

The common sort of bench on the Rooftop Garden of the Salesforce Transbay Center provided seating for just a single person. These benches were not wide enough for the homeless to sleep on them.

A sign was titled, "Seismic Joint + Earthquake." It described how the three sections of the Salesforce Transbay Center connected to each other using seismic joints so that the three sections could move independently in an earthquake.

Occasional flowers were seen to bloom at various points during a walk around the garden.

A grassy hill was in the middle of the Rooftop Garden. One could walk on it and even have picnics on it.

A park with grass and trees existed in one area inside the Rooftop Garden of the Salesforce Transbay Center.

A play area open to kids and adults provided nets attached to vertical poles that one could climb or walk on.

The path around the outside of the Rooftop Garden was wide enough for three adults to walk side by side.

Tables and chairs were set up in the clearing just outside a Starbucks cafe in the Salesforce Tower. This area provided a comfortable, partly shaded place to eat lunch.

A metal foosball game was set up next to the lunch area to provide the younger adults with a physical activity during lunch.

A canopy covered part of the lunch seating. It could also provide protection from rain on rainy days.

A narrow stone path connected one side of the garden to the other. That path ran past a grove of low tree-like bushes.

The trees growing on the Rooftop Garden were tall enough to provide shade later in the afternoon.
