Several gulls rested on a roof's crown. One gull rested on a metal box that enclosed a former chimney. The others either stood on the crown or balanced on one foot on the crown.

A line of posts supported a cable that separated the parking lot from the beach. One gull stood on each post. Both gulls were wary of the camera getting too close. In fact they both flew off just after this photo was taken.
