![]() A pond near the back of the Japanese Garden in Balboa Park was stocked with several fine examples of koi. Here, a single Kohaku swam between two Yamabuki Ogon koi.

![]() An example of a Kawarimono koi swam in the pond of the Terrace Lagoon at the San Diego Zoo. Many wild ducks and turtles were also found in this pond located just inside the entrance to the zoo.
