Pirate, Hats

The Pirates of Emerson were a troupe of actors that performed in a traveling Haunted Adventure House in various
locations. Here was an example of a simple cloth used as a modest pirate hat.

The object of the St. Stupids Day Parade was to dress in a silly or stupid manner.
Here a fellow with a pirate-like beard dressed in a modern dress shirt and tie, while
wearing a pirate hat.

The annual Renaissance Faire in Golden Gate Park featured roving groups dressed in period costumes.
Here was the roving band of pirates, one dressed in a fancy swash-buckling hat complete with modern
buttons.

The Pirates of Emerson is a Haunted Theme Park located at the Alameda County
Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. Open every October.
Here was one very overstated pirate hat.

Where else but at a San Francisco Pride event would pink pirates chat with a farmer in
such an unthreatening manner?
