The use of many long, skinny balloons to decorate parade participants caught on in the first decade of the 21st century. Here they were used to emulate wings.

Pink Plastic Skylight

The covered seating area for listening to the bands on the main stage was covered to provide shade. This year, that covering let light in through a large pink skylight. The effect was to bath the entire seating area in a festive pink glow.
