The mural was painted on one of two back walls of the Pence Gallery in downtown Davis, California. It showed a double helix of DNA passing through a butterfly and unspooling into the stars and floating cities. Anthony Padilla's signature image, in the left lower corner of the mural, was a honeycomb and bees. Notice behind the bees was an electronic printed circuit in blue.

The butterfly had a security camera attached to its wing. Notice that the double helix of DNA unwrapped and ended at a flower upon which was a fantasy city.

The double helix of DNA originated from a single cell of a honeycomb. Behind the honeycomb was a much-darker blue printed circuit. A real bush grew at the foot of the mural. The mural was painted over a door.
