Figure For Landscape

The sculpture called "Figure For Landscape 1960" was on display in the Marcy Sculpture Garden
of the San Diego Museum Of Art. Behind it could be seen the the sculpture called "Two Lines
oblique."

Barbara Hepworth statue was displayed on a pedestal near the edge of the garden.
In bronze, it was one of a series created in the late 1950's through the 1960s.

The top of the figure with its gentle openings and fluid form.
Moving so slowly that a spider established a web in the top.

The figure was held down with angled brackets and bolts.

The lower hole revealed part of the interior.

Seen from behind, a cross-piece bisected the middle of the sculpture.

If the figure were human, this would be its chest.

A hole formed what might be called the lower back of this sculpture.
