Les Funambules, 1991 Charles Ginnever

The statue rested on a concrete stand on the lawn in front of the Ducca Restaurant.
Made of bronze, it has taken on an attractive greenish patina.
Like many of Charles Ginnever sculptures, this one is composed of trapezoids.

This Les Funambules sculpture changed shape as one moved left to right around it.

This Les Funambules sculpture shares the lawn with the David Nash "Stream Of Vessels"

The statue was held to its base with small bolts and small clips. A through-bolt could
not be used because of the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Here was a close up of the top left shape. Up close it was not a trapezoid after all,
but instead an irregular hexagon.

The sign was glued to the sidewalk just the other side of a low hedge. It read:
