"Vertebra", by Dave Haslett, Convention Center, Salem, Oregon
A small sign identified the sculpture. It read:
The sculpture was cut from Basalt stone and mounted on a concrete base. It resembled a human
spine, hence part of the name, "Vertebra."
A close shot of the top of the sculpture. The cuts were offset from each other on either side, perhaps
suggesting the "Time Wave Zero" part of the name.
The base of the "Vertebra: Time Wave Zero" sculpture, where this close shot showed how it was attached
with metal to its concrete stand.
