"Flowers for Miss L", Artist: Kelly Detweiler, With: The Davis Mural Team, F Street, Davis, California
The mural was painted on a flat section of wall on the face of a building on 3rd Street in Davis, California.
It depicted a semi-realistic man offering flowers to a cubist woman with a cubist dog.
A small sign was stuck to the wall next to the mural. It read:
The woman (who appears to be Miss L) was drawn in the style of one of Picasso's weeping women.
A more naturalistic man offered flowers to the Miss L.
Miss L stood inside a room and held an apple. Her arm arm was twisted like a loaf of bread.
Her buttons zig zagged down her blouse. The window behind her leaned right.
A closer shot of Mill L's face revealed that her right eye was an X.
It also revealed that the apple contained a 4 inside it.
Miss L's dog was blue with two eyes on one side of its head.
The dog bared its teeth in a most unfriendly manner.
A closer view of the man's face. His face was more naturalisticly drawn, yet still retained a cartoon quality.
Notice that the wind blowing across the man was indicated with white horizontal lines.
The man's dog also had both eyes on one side of its face. It too bared its teeth in threat to the abstract
dog facing it.
A bouquet of flowers were arranged in the man's hand as if his hand were a vase.
The hills in the background were purple.
