Walk For Life, Parade and Protest
The protest stretched from 1st Street all the way to the Ferry Building. The people walking in the protest were all that were there.
Only one or two people on the sidewalk appeared to be paying attention.
One of the signs carried in the protest parade read, "Defend Life." An identical phrase use to protest
capital punishment.
A homemade sign in the parade read,
A banner carried by the "Couples For Christ"
A group dressed in Native American outfits joined the protest. One wore a feather headdress and another beat a drum.
A banner held at the end of the parade read, "We Walked For Life." The banner also described how to find the
shuttle buses.
Catholic priests were present at the parade's end, under a banner representing the,
"Institute Of Christ The King Sovereign Priest."
The last of the protesters straggled in to the end of the parade. Some looked tired, but most seemed ready to continue.
