Rust Stain, As A Form Of Deconstruction

Water drained through an iron pipe embedded in concrete that faced McAbee Beach in Monterey, California.
Rust caused by the flow of that water created a rust stain to appear below the pipe.
An old, cut off bolt to the right of the pipe created a rust stain below it as well.

The original Transbay Terminal crossed Fremont Street supported by huge I-beam uprights
along each side of the road. Those uprights were cut off as part of the teardown
of the terminal. Here was the remains of one such I-Beam previously embedded in
concrete.

Near the base of Pier 14 lay a set of steps that used to lead down into the bay. Those steps are now
fenced off because they are rusting and crumbling. Here was one such step, still wet from a high tide.
