Wow! Talk about the way back machine. I was a volunteer along with 25 or so other soles recruited to build the booths in SF and then set them up on Tam. Izzy owned a deli on Height St in SF and did catering at the Avalon and had a food booth at the Fair where I helped him sell hot dogs. I remember that we ran out of dogs and buns and driving down the mountain to buy more at a local market. Wow all the memories.

Whoa! I think that is a picture of me. I was a volunteer in the preparations for the fair. Sure looks like me.

The jacket reads "BERDO0". "Berdoo" (usually "San Berdoo") is short for San Bernardino.

Does anyone have an archival digitized version of the IJ front page from sat June 10, 1967? Myself and some friends are in that photo of the audience.

Anyone know what ever happened to Yuri, the guy that organized everything?

At the entry to the Fantasy Fair, I was the vendor that sold balloons to those entering. The whole balloon thing was initially a bust (no pun intended) until I figured out that breathing in the helium made us sound like the Munchkins in the Wizard of Oz. Scored a lot of balloon sales after that; but, we all ended up with major headaches from breathing in so much helium over two days. Great fun.
