Dyes Used To Color Ice

Dyes were used to demonstrate the capillary action of ice. Kids would either drip pure colors onto the ice, or mix colors in a giant eye dropper and use that to drip color onto the ice. Micro fractures and other defects in the ice caused the colors to wick down through it.

A skull was on display as part of an articulating skeleton. It was a bit long in the tooth, but set right there where kids were allowed to touch it.
