Early looking peppers in a pile were found at the Farmers Market at th Ferry Building in San Francisco.

An outdoor food market in Paris, France was just shutting down as we arrived. The day was unusually hot and the canvas canopies overhead lent a bit of shade to the experience. Here were peppers in a bin for sale.

There were many vendors at the Octoberfest in Concord, California. A few sold prepared foods. This booth sold freshly roasted peppers. The was one of the bins of peppers from which peppers could be selected to roast.

At the corner of 20th Avenue and Geary Boulevard in San Francisco was a small market with bins of fruits and vegetables on the sidewalk out front. Yellow bell peppers were for sale in one of those bins.

In 2008, 85,000 people visited the Slow Food Nation event in San Francisco's Civic Center. Booths were there featuring vendors, farmers, food producers. One booth exhibited peppers and all the delicious forms they could take.
