Misc. Trails, At Mount Pisgah Arboretum

Grass alongside one of the trails just after a hard rain. The grass had been pounded
flat by the rain's strength.

A gnarled tree stood alongside a field with rained on grass. The trunk was
distorted with many burls.

A narrow trail was typical of many in the Arboretum that connected one major trail to
another.

A pair of love-seat-style benches that were carved from a single log.

A small parking lot was located next to a barn (not shown). This parking was available for
those hosting booths at the annual Wildflower Festival.

A "S" shaped path swept past moss and lichen covered trees and dense underbrush.

This one moss or lichen covered tree was typical of many trees in the arboretum. Proximity to a river
created a humid environment.

A person walked on the path and lent scale to the scene.

A large puddle alongside the trail was full of skittering insects.
|
A light rain began to fall. The use of an umbrella was atypical of the folks who live
in western Oregon. Note all the people behind without umbrellas.
