Boat Ride 2 of 2, Quepos, Costa Rica
The Big Pink Panther was big and pink
The breakwater was still under construction
Rain clouds threatened to move in
A faded fishing boat passed on its way in
Dramatic rocks lay just off shore
Pricey housing dotted the distant hill tops
A distant line of pelicans flew south
One of the pelicans landed on a nearby rock
Wild snorkelers were spotted in the surf
Snorkeling took place near jagged rocks
Terry, having swallowed water, returns to the boat
Surf over the rocks made snorkeling risky
Some snorkeled, some simply swam
Surf battered the nearby shore
The rocky tip of Manuel Antonio Park
No sea gulls, only a brown booby flew over
Moss-covered rocks opposed blue surf
A storm caused the water to become a bit rough
Two jet skis cavorted off the starboard side
This island was a bird refuge
The rough cliffs offered a good nesting ground
Brown Boobys nested on those cliffs
The jet ski returned, this time much closer
Manuel Anonio's commercial side came into view
A couple walked on the beach in the park
Low surf bobbed the boat just off the park's beach
An intrepid duo dined atop the boulders
Another rocky bluff in the same national park
From there the boat turned out to sea
Rough water, distant islands and a storm
The boat passed a curiously twisted rock
And then lunch started to be prepared
Another opportunity was available to snorkel
Cindy and Heidi chatted with the others
Meanwhile the meals neared completion
Flemming became queasy so held tightly onto the boat
David drank a beer, then began to pontificate
Dave just drank a beer
To dine with land just too far to swim
On the return the breakwater broke water
