Balboa Park San Diego
A 1,200-acre (490 ha) park and cultural experience. Balboa Park's site was placed in reserve in 1835, was home to the Panama-California Exposition of 1915-1916 and the California Pacific International Exposition 1935-1936.

The park was host to over a dozen fabulous gardens, ranging from cactus to roses, to palm trees, and from Japanese to Spanish.

Balboa Park generally apart from specific attractions. Although there were parking lots near the Zoo and museums, there were also parking lots at a distance with little guide to the average tourist.

San Diego Zoo

Located in Balboa Park and open year round. The Zoo was founded on October 2, 1916, and covers 100-acre (40-hectare) and is home to rare and endangered animals representing more than 800 species and subspecies.
