The Town, Of South Lake Tahoe

The dock for the Ski Run Boat Company
|
Gondolas ran over the town and up high into the Sierra Nevada Mountains stopping at
Heavenly Ski Resort. During the summer and autumn, it was warm enough to lounge around
a fountain in the center.
|
A line of stout towers marched past the town and up into the mountains carrying the cable that
supported and moved the gondolas.

A view of the town of South Lake Tahoe as seen from above during the gondola ride up the mountain side.
The softness of the image was caused by scratches on the plastic windows of the gondola.
|
Highway 50 ran right through town, dividing it into two parts. The half inland, and the other half shoreline.
Again, the softness of the image was caused by scratches on the plastic windows of the gondola.
