Entry To, Oregon Coast Aquarium, Newport, Oregon
Several modest sized parking lots were arranged in a row on either side of the entry. Each lot was identified by
a different sea animal. This lot was called the, "Sea Otter Lot."
A wide drive passed in front of the entrance. As you could see here, the parking lots were arranged one after the other
to the left of the road.
The entrance that faced the road featured two columns with lights on top. Each was tastefully
decorated for Christmas. The sign on the base of the tower on the right listed the hours as, "Hours: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m."
The sign on the base of tower on the right declared, "No Pets Allowed."
A bench was placed far enough in from the front entrance so that someone waiting could not see a car pull up.
And it was far enough from the actual entrance that such early rest seemed unnecessary.
A small stream ran alongside the entrance walkway. A sign on the stream read, "No Coins Needed To Operate This Stream."
Just inside, and after having paid, the "Ferry Slip Cafe" offered food for the hungry tourist.
A "Coffee Bar" was open on the side opposite the cafe.
It sold snacks, and coffee drinks such as "Espresso."
A covered walkway led from the entry building, past the Gift Shop, and to the entrance to the actual aquarium.
The path that led from the entrance building to the aquarium building had fish hung from the walkway's ceiling.
An octopus tentacle was used as the door handle that led from the covered walkway into the aquarium proper.
