Jungle Walk, Tour
The tour group wore boots that day
The reason for boots became quickly apparent
The guide, Ray, pointed out the risks of the jungle
Such as dangerous thorns on bamboo stalks
The tour was through dense, true jungle
Some leafs were eaten by caterpillars
Tiny red frogs were highly poisonous
The red frogs were hard to spot among the leaves
Bridges forded a few of the interior streams
Even palm leafs could pose a risk
Note the unexpectedly dangerous thorns underneath
A bat snoozed away the day under a palm leaf
A long legged spider traversed a branch
More thorns. This time even more dangerous looking
From overhead, monkeys pelted those below with dung
Colorful berries sprouted from a bamboo stalk
Handy arrows showed the way forward and the way out
A lizard posed among dried leafs
A delicate mushroom spiraled from a downed log
A vine's arms hugged the tree it climbed
Two bugs in bright sunlight on a leaf
Termites (yum) scurry from a hole punched in their nest
A moth waited calmly on a leaf for who knows what
Afterward, boots had to be washed of mud
