Treetop Walkways, Selvatura Park
The tour began from a tall park building
The bridges were suspension bridges through the forest
Stout cable and bolts were used throughout
The first bridge was at treetop level
The forest ranged from deep dark to sunlit
Far below appeared a group of purple flowers
In the distance, alert red flowers
Stairs lead from one bridge to the next
Suspension cables were set into concrete and bolted
Bridge two was the first signed one noticed
Cindy and Patsy hesitated at the bridge's entry
Perhaps because there were signs of early rust
Some plants grew on the branches of other plants
Olives provided food for the Resplendent Quetzal
The alert red flowers could now be seen close up
The forest obliged to become nicely backlit
Yet deep in its darkness were small white flowers
Plants hitch hiked along another plant's branch
A dead leaf fell to lie upon a living leaf
Detail of a flower high in a tree
Painted wall bordered path to the next bridge
More stairs
The photographer's shadow descended to the forest floor
Condensation below a hand rail
A group of three leafs lightly chewed
Bridge four was an extremely long bridge
It length demanded double suspension cables
Bridge four soared high over the forest
Bridge exhibited serious signs of rust
Below, purple flowers intermingled with green
Above a Slate-throated Redstart sang high in the trees
Metal stairs led high up to the next bridge
Bridge five was another long bridge
People at the far end almost disappeared
Flowers seen far below this bridge
A small spider inhabited the cable
Bridge five was lower in the forest
Path to the next bridge paralleled thinning trees
Bridge six was a shorter suspension bridge
The forest grew over bridge six
Somewhere below ran a small river that could be heard
A winding path lead from the prior bridge to the next
The dangerous common fly rested on a nearby leaf
The next bridge came into view
Bridge seven was another very long bridge
This bridge ran just below the tree tops
The forest floor is still darkly invisible below
The bug was upside down on a mushroom
Bridge eight was once again of modest length
A small white spider waited behind the bridge's metalwork
Bridge eight was the most ramshackle of them all
A plant grew on a nearby hanging root
A wooden spool was left over from bridge construction
The final bridge was not suspension at all
