The Ride, On The Redwood Valley Railway In Tilden Regional Park
Westley was ready for the train to start his trip through the park. He had worn his
railroad had and shirt special for this day.
The ride first ran past support facilities for the railroad. Here was a railroad barn, slightly
masked by foreground trees.
The fully loaded train rounded a turn next to a hill. As you can see, this trip was appropriate
for all ages and sizes of people.
Westely rode the Tilden Park Steam Railroad. In this video he became fascinated with the rails passing between the cars as it moved.

The train emerged from the first of several tunnels along its route. The tunnels were
actual tunnels through hills, not fake tunnels as on other unnamed park rail rides.
The sight of steam in the distance was the only hint we got, while riding, that this
was a steam engine.
The steam engine was about to enter another tunnel. This one ran under the road that led to the
station. Notice the person with a bicycle who watched the train.
