Inland, At Sunset Bay State Park, Oregon Parks And Recreation Department, As A Park Or Park District, Coos Bay, Oregon

Inland from Sunset Beach we found a pair of sand-lot volleyball courts. On this day, the courts were empty.
|
A trail ran around the park and behind the volleyball courts. A tree had fallen next to the trail. Over time it became hollow and a potential home
for wildlife.
|
A tree died sometime in the past. Since then, it became magic and learned to levitate.
|
An old picnic table was set in an alcove surrounded by brambles.
|
Beyond the path lay a forest. A tree behind a bush appeared decidedly unfriendly.
|
A bridge extended the trail over a small creek. The creek lay placid under dappled sunlight.
|
A sign on a mechanical steel garbage can said, "Feed This Can, Instead of feeding Wildlife."

The Sunset Bay Amphitheater had many benches. In the center of the benches was a small stand with electrical power. A video projector could
be set on the stand to perhaps project a movie at night.

One of the seats on this picnic table had weakened with dry-rot which eventually allowed it to be pulled off.
|
A broad grassy meadow was sprinkled with picnic tables. Sunlight broke through the trees allowing some to be lit and others to remain in shade.

A sign on the trail just outside the restrooms immortalized an event:
