The Entry, To Pixie Woods A Children's Theme Park
The entry was just off of a large parking lot. A 60 bus
A sign at the entry to the park gave the hours of operation:
There was a small ticket booth with only one person there to issue tickets. The good news is that they
recently began to accept credit and debit cards.
A wooden cutout of an Irish elf holding a large piece of hard mint candy stood next to the sign listing admission prices.
A Christmas elf was on the roof of the ticket booth. This elf had a large piece of yellow hard candy.
A pixie had been drawn on the side of the ticket booth. Because she sat on hard candies with the letters P and W, this
pixie must have been the Pixie Woods pixie.
A small hand drawn sign listed the hours of operation for the Pixie Woods Water Dragon as being from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
The side door to the ticket booth had a drawing on it that showed a string of mice reaching for a wreath held by a pixie
leaning out of a window.
A drawn girl stood just inside the front entry. She held a book in one hand and a bunny in her other hand. Next to her,
a bee was pollinating a flower.
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall atop an arbor just inside the park entrance. Contrary to his reputation, he appeared stable
and unlikely to ever fall.
This was the path into the park just past the entrance. Unseen just beyond the end were playgrounds, and unseen
off to the left was a bridge leading to more play areas.
