Our Iris Germania (purple bearded iris) grew at the bottom corner of our front yard garden. Because of the excessively long winter rain, these irises grew taller this year.

Lots of flowers grew together alongside the driveway. They had purple heads with dark, almost black, beards.

More Iris Germanica flowers bloomed on the other side of our driveway, next to one of our white hellebores.
