Surrounding the Rose Garden was parkland with tall mature trees. Other than the occassional street noise from Park Boulevard, the garden was a placid and relaxing place to escape.

The arbor in the rose garden was large enough for a wedding ceremony, but small enough for a feeling of privacy. Here was a couple resting on a bench and looking outward toward the surrounding Rose Garden.
