Wild Fig, (Ficus tonduzii) Moraceae
A huge, wide tree whose limbs extended high and wide overhead.
If a tree could ever be insane, this one certainly appeared as if it was.
The trunk of the Wild Fig where it emerged from the ground. The tree has a single trunk, but
one with complex whorls and overlays.
This Wild Fig began to branch low to the ground, no more than a meter up or so.
A little over head-height, this Wild Fig began to grow in a bizarre manner.
The strange way this tree grew allowed one to anthropomorphize into frightening humanesque forms.
Up higher overhead the branches of this Wild Fig began to subdue and appear almost normal again.
High overhead, the upper branches of this Wild Fig appeared wind-blown, even though the day was still.
The leaves of this Wild Fig were clustered only at the top of the branches.
The leaves of the Wild Fig sprouted from the ends of branches.
A close-up view of a leaf pair with a new leaf just beginning to grow and form in the middle.
The trunk of another Wild Fig grew in the middle of a small park-like area with seating around it and a view
of the water.
