A roll up garage door that had been painted and repainted a number of times. It appeared to have been recently sanded in preparation for another paint job.

This retaining wall, above which was a hotel deck, had cracked either over time or due to an earthquake years earlier. Whatever the reason, a weed had discovered an opportunity.

This is the inside of a waist-high wall on the roof of the Bacílica Catedral de La Asunción. Over time, graffiti had been scratched and carved into its surface.

The wall inside the Museum of the Revolution in the front area where the torture area used to be. This wall had been washed many times and never repainted. The aluminum strip may have once held up a sign.

A train mural was painted on the front of a home in downtown San Juan del Sur. The black of the image was actually brown to compliment the window frame and door.

An old mural of a sun burst was still on the outside wall of a brick building. Ivy has been slowly covering the wall and gradually devouring the mural.
