The only identifying sign on the bridge read,

The creek, over which the bridge passed, fed into Willamette Slough.
The wooden bridge had wooden sides that prevented people from falling into the creek.
Chicken wire attached to the walkway of the bridge helped to reduce the chance of slipping during wet weather.
The horizontal boards on the side of the bridge were attached to metal uprights.
Despite being a wooden bridge, the structure was reinforced with steel.
