2019 Davis, California, Amtrak Station, A U.S Railroad, As Form Of Transportation
Many bicycles were parked using many bicycle racks alongside the station building.
Electronic signs kept the passengers advised of rules and of departure times.
The railroad station in Davis, California was originally built by Southern Pacific.
Two tracks and two boarding platforms extended north to Sacramento and beyond.
The station was built in a Spanish style intended to resemble the adobe buildings of Old California.
Boulders littered a section of lawn to the north of the Train Station. The boulders were made of concrete and provided
seating for those waiting for trains.
Decorative concrete benches interleaved the trees alongside the rails. Each was decorated with embedded tiles.
Rules were painted on the sidewalk surface that ran from the street to the railroad station. That sign read:
"No Biking Or Skate Boarding On Sidewalk."
