A small metal sign at the base of the sculpture described it. That sign read:

Next to the base of, and part of, the sculpture rose a yellow metal post. It was shaped and painted to resemble a real metal post complete with rivets and rusted metal bands.

An actual ball (not part of the sculpture) was balanced on one of the shallow steps that led up the base of the sculpture.

A yellow float gauge was nestled against the neck of the sculpture. It was made to resemble a float gauge, but the metal stick it was mounted on did not pass through the float.

The ball set on the top step rested next to a metal strap holding a piece of wood in place. A mini-scene created from ceramic.
