Flower Mural, Artist: Unknown, 17th and J Streets, Sacramento, California
A large, black and white mural of a flower decorated the side of a building. The mural faced a parking lot and was visible to passing pedestrians, but not to passing cars.
A white with black lettered sign read, "Reserved Stall." That sign obscured part of the mural. Fortunately the mural was large enough to still be appreciated despite the presence of the sign.
The mural as it looked by anyone peering just past a parked car. It was a striking image of a rose that would inject a bit of sweetness into anyone's day.
Up close it became obvious that the mural had been painted over a cinder block wall.
A closer shot of the mural revealing that the leafs behind the rose were black, and the petals of the rose were gray.
A black, gray, and white rose mural was painted on a gray wall of a cinder block building, and drawn next to a gray gas meter.
