The mural was painted on the side of a store at 602 Main Street in Springfield, Oregon. It depicted an outdoor restaurant scene.

One artist, Patrick Curtis, painted the original mural in 1992. Another artist, Willey, restored the mural in 2023. The signatures read:

A lad leaned on a side table and waited to be seated.

A waitress carried a tray past two men seated at a table. The men discussed art.

Another man dined inside and leaned back to gaze out the window.

A man, wearing a top hat, dined alone. He glanced up as a woman walked a dog past.

A woman, dressed for cold weather, walked a dog past the outdoor seating. Behind her a boy sold newspapers.

A newspaper boy held newspapers in his right hand, and placed his left hand in a pocket for warmth.

A fancy dressed short man stood in an open doorway with his back to the sidewalk.

A sign posted next to the mural indicated that this was the main office for the Academy Of Arts And Academics.
