A bulletin board next to the restroom was covered in rules and warnings. As it happened, this campsite was closed in the fall.

Bullet Holes In Restroom Door

The door to the restroom appeared closed and locked and had been filled with bullet holes. When we tried the door, we found the restroom open.

Inside Was A Toilet

Inside the restroom was a toilet with the lid up, a fold down table, and metal walls covered with bugs.

Campsite Overlooked The Lake

A campsite with a concrete picnic table and a fire pit overlooked the lake. Clearly in the spring the lake would be higher and this campsite more desirable.

The Sign Faced The Lake

A permanent sign faced the lake so as to only be readable from a boat. Except that the lake was now so low the sign faced a wide meadow where people could walk.
