One person wore a kid's life ring, the sort found in swimming pools. Clearly, the month's long rainy season, that had just ended, made an impression on this person. Better safe than sorry.

A group of several people walked past, each wearing a fuzzy animal head. Many wore just animal heads, while others, like the tiger in the background, wore a full costume.

Two fellows had stepped inside the Lagunitas Brewing Company booth. They inserted their heads and arms through holes and thereby became stick figures.

One person passed by wearing the extreme coverage needed for dust storms at Burning Man. His only bit of frivolity were feathers in his hat.

A couple paraded through the faire wearing extreme flower displays as hats.

A man with a red beard, a gray mustache, and sunglasses, also wore a moon and star decorated, red wizard's hat.

A man wearing a fancy sequin coat, also wore a black hat and a pair of oversized googly eyes. His eyes looked every which way, and apparently, at no one in particular.

An uninspired costume was a baseball-style hat worn backwards. The addition of eyes on the back of the hat turned it into a good costume.

A couple danced to high-test music while dressed in bee-keeper costumes. The difference was the presence of butterflies around the face masks, suggesting that the butterflies were dangerous.

A man wearing a, "Hell Was Boring," t-shirt also wore ram horns on his head.

A person wore a spacesuit with a stylized spider on the shoulder. Next to the spacesuit stood a person wearing square sunglasses and a top hat with a face on it.

A fellow wearing a fancy jester's hat also wore sunglasses designed specially to protect his third eye from the sun.
