Eugenio was the CEO (Chief Experience Officer) who was with us throughout our Nicaraguan trip. Here he took some time off while the others received lessons, to do some surfing of his own.

Here, Eugenio waxed the surface of his board to make it non-slippery. Because it was borrowed wax, he only waxed the board where his weight would rest while paddling out and when standing.

Eugenio was waiting to catch a wave as surf broke over him.

Eugenio paddled to pick up speed down the leading edge of a just breaking wave.

Eugenio's paddling was not sufficient to catch the wave.

Seven minutes later, Eugenio found is way back out, and there he caught a good wave.

Eugenio stood and surfed, this time all the way in to the beach.

Eugenio made his way back out after a successful run. Now soaked, his hair dripped onto his board (unseen).

Eugenio paddled to catch the next wave on its way into shore.

Eugenio began yet another run of many that mid-day.
