This sculpture has a single opening which faces the plaza. Like the other sculptures in this privately owned public park, this one is also surrounded by steps useful for lunchtime seating. Behind it, the Embarcadaro Center Cinema was visible. To access this sculpture, walk through the Embarcadaro Center Cinema and out the back door. Cross the bridge and the sculpture will be on your left.

This sculpture is construsted of bronze rods brazed together into triangular sections. Those sections were assembled into an Icosahedron external link shape and brazed together. This hole was formed by omitting one of the triangular sections.

This view gives a better idea of the overall shape and design. Note that each triangle that makes up the Icosahedron is itself a spiral. Hense the name "Icosaspirale."

The sculpture on a winter afternoon

The sculpture is in shade at mid afternoon in the winter. Pehaps it will be in sunlight in the summer or fall. The shade is from tall buildings that surround the park.
