The tulip plants in the front yard, next to the driveway, had flowered and were now discoloring (dying back) to return nourishment from the leaves back into the bulb.

The tulips at the front, next to the sidewalk, had faded into a delicate pink.

The flower stalks were bare because the orange tulips had bloomed and then had fallen off. Notice that the leaves were just beginning to brown along the edges.

The red tulips that grew between the ground cover, a weed, and a pine bush, were half faded.
