David Breaux An American Designer
David Breaux (aka Compassion Guy) is a Stanford University graduate and Davis resident who can be found standing on the southeast corner of Third & C Streets ("Compassion Corner") asking people what their definition of compassion is. He has had a compilation book published with writings from this experience. He hopes that it will be the first of many. [from davis wiki]

The Compassion Bench is a functional art sculpture/public bench located on Compassion Corner in Downtown Davis. It is the brainchild of "Compassion Guy" David Breaux. David got permission from AT&T (who owns the property) and organized volunteers to build a cob "compassion bench" there. The bench was designed by cob master Brennan Bird. The ceramic inlay art is by locally famous ceramic tile artists Donna Billick and Mark Rivera.[from davis wiki]
